100 Days in the Mission Field

So what’s it like? Being so far away from home, leaving it all behind?

I’m counting down the days, but I’m also counting up. I need to pray to God for power everyday because without it I feel like I’m getting beaten in my spirit.

It’s an emotional roller coaster, that’s for sure, and I now know it’s wise to do these sort of things with a team, or at least one other person. We have prayer/worship meetings four times a week and I’ve broken down it at least five of them, mainly the ones where we had to pray for our “kampung,” where in Indonesian this means village, aka, where we come from.

Everyone’s sleeping and I’m sitting on the ground using the admin office wifi. It’s peaceful, internet speed is decent, I’m in the middle of the jungle typing out a blog post on my phone haha, can’t get much better than this.
